One thing that I noticed while watching the Thor films…
In the original take, the extended scene, Loki sat much nearer to Thor. Shoulders brushing, facing towards him somewhat. What cannot be conveyed in gifs is the fact that his voice also seemed far more sincere, engaged.
While I understand that they used the final version so to make Loki seem more heartless and calculating, and thus a more appropriate villain, it still makes me rather sad to think that originally, Loki was either a far better liar (probably this one) or else cared somewhat about Thor’s feelings.
Considering we now know Loki died for his brother, I hope it’s abundantly clear that he’s always cared about Thor’s feelings and his larger welfare, even when it was far from in Loki’s best interests to do so.
