icyxmischief:

Wolf-mother, where you been?
You look so worn, so thin
You’re a taker, devils-maker
Let me hear you sing

Wolf-father, at the door
You don’t smile anymore
You’re a drifter, shape-shifter
Let me see you run

/?Can we all laugh though at the part in Ragnarok where Loki does the Loki-coping thing of compartmentalizing his emotions about Asgard and the family with Thor and is like “why bother it’s not like this family ever communicated well” (paraphrasing) then moments later frustratedly starts to do so anyway, while they’re beating up Sakaar security guards, and Thor, exactly like a human sibling in the throes of childish contrariness, goes, “I thought you didn’t WANNA talk!”  Like. Lmao.  The pettiness, it burns.  As exasperating as it is, it’s also genuinely funny, sort of like when Loki was backseat driving in The Dark World.

It’s also lmao especially ironic considering Thor was always the sibling of punch first, talk later.

there’s a difference between never taking responsibility for your own actions, and just wanting people to fairly acknowledge the times you’ve been treated shittily..

//man when are people just gonna leave this character alone lmao you don’t have to like him but seeking him out to pick him apart and belittle his legit traumas like insecure threatened schoolyard bullies is, ironically, vividly meta-larping some of the social conditions that gave rise to the person he is today.

like i can’t believe that directors alone, on a range from joss-fuckboy-whedon to taika-i’m-such-a-cool-irreverent-indie-waititi, despise his ass.  are y’all that freaked out that hiddleston’s take on a comic book villain outshines so many other characters?  sour grapes much???? maybe do the hard work of making those characters more interesting instead of shitting on a character that’s already well-rounded enough to stand alone???

grow up or get out of the way, like dayum!
