Sooooo here’s the dealio folks! The semester starts at the college where I teach on Monday.  I have an enormous amount of students this semester, which means that my free time is going to be restricted to a couple of hours in the evening, except as time permits on Fridays and weekends.  I will be tired and otherwise preoccupied with a job that I frankly love, which is going to make me more SELECTIVE and SLOWER.  

For that reason this blog is on PARTIAL HIATUS until December.  Don’t expect me to drop off the map, but do expect things to take time, and expect me to PRIVILEGE MUTUALS when it comes to memes and drafts.

Also, please understand that if you send me inordinate quantities of Asks per day nagging me to reply faster or “asking me if Tumblr ate your messages,” I will block you without a single qualm. Don’t do it.  It’s manipulative.

//Okay folks…..

So a very disturbing element of the rp fandom came to my attention tonight.  A good friend of mine who’s legitimately the very best at rping her canon character was mentioned in what is called a “burn book” blog.  She was complimented (a thing she certainly deserves) but then the person went on to write that others who portray her character “should stop bothering to try” because “they are all subpar in comparison.”

Look. Let me make myself perfectly fucking clear.

Do not. EVER. Do that. With my blog.  Do NOT use me as a divisive element in this fandom.  EVER. 

I do not consider it a compliment to exalt me in order to put others down, EVER. I don’t care how much you think they deserve to be disparaged.  I don’t care if they DO deserve to be disparaged.  I do not consider it pardonable in even the REMOTEST sense.  It is cruel, childish, and petty.  

Please please please do not partake, and do not involve my blog in any way.  

//BWAH gomens friends, thank you for all the babies asks and headcanon asks. A relative that was unexpected is probably spending the night with us  tomorrow or Thursday and I am a big ball of tired frazzlies.  I’ll prioritize the inbox tomorrow, then get to drafts if I still have mental energy. //Hey my friends, just an FYI: 

I received a message from a good friend earlier today that concerned me about my followers’ general perception of my approachability and availability, so let me clear the air. 

This blog is selective, meaning that I do not always follow back or agree to rp’s. That said, if I have already agreed to rp with you, that means that I will not go back on my word.  If I do not reply to your Asks, pm’s, etc within a few days of receiving it, it is NEVER never never never because I am avoiding you or don’t want to rp with you.”  Rather, it’s because of one of the following reasons: 

  1. I work full-time as a college professor.  This means a tremendous workload of lectures, assignments, papers, etc that I have to work with and grade.  Work may have become stressful, overwhelming, or just plain busy.
  2. I have a social life outside of Tumblr, which sometimes takes priority over socializing on the internet. Nothing personal! Just the way I’m built.
  3. I have several serious, chronic, debilitating health problems. I have type one diabetes (with many complications involving my eyes and kidneys), clinical depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, chronic migraines, severe stomach problems, which greatly reduce the quality of my writing. Rather than give you crap, sometimes I wait until I am feeling a bit better, and more lucid.  There are days when my depression can cripple my ability to even get out of bed. Please forgive me, it’s not personal.  
  4. I, like everyone else, get stage fright about my writing. Particularly since Loki is a tremendously popular character, and because there are well over 2,000 of you who want me to perform to a certain standard, and expect me to. The pressure to perform well for you on this blog is honestly very high, and I am a self-perfectionist, and sometimes, I freeze.  

Again, it is NEVER because I dislike you or am avoiding you. There is just unfortunately a flawed human being behind this blog who can be very slow about maintaining contact. I promise, I do my best, and am not an rp machine. I would be if I could, trust me lol! I enjoy rping a lot. 

Please never assume that I dislike you! ❤ I promise that I would communicate with you directly if I had qualms about our rp’s. Hugs! 

//Ok I hate to do this, but my anxiety is through the roof.  Starter requests and new threads, even with mutuals, are CLOSED until I can catch up with my current pile of drafts. I’m sorry 😦 It won’t be forever.

Rules of Engagement

It’s been far too long since I’ve clearly articulated my blog rules. In light of the fact that I’ve had an influx of over 30 new followers in the past few days, putting me at 2,181

of you, it’s probably time to lay down some ground rules:

  • I am NOT exclusive; this means I WILL play with duplicates of canon characters. However I do have mainverse rp partners who will, on days when I am selective, take precedence over their duplicates (verses page pending).
  • This blog is both multi-ship and multi-verse. All romances exist in separate verses; my Loki muse is monogamous. 
  • My Loki muse is pansexual; therefore he has romantic and sexual relationships with persons of all genders.  However, what I ship is chemistry.  Current accepted ships are with Sigyn ( sigyns-haven​ and constancychaos​ ), Fandral, and Seraphina Pitchiner (crossover; rutrumxsimilem​ ).  Romantic verses are tagged and exist separately from each other.  For your blacklisting purposes: Sigyn is tagged #constantmischief.  Fandral is tagged #dashingmischief.  Seraphina is tagged #Frozen Thorns.  
  • This blog IS selective.  Primarily that’s because as a full-time university professor, I have little spare time and I need to make it intellectually enriching for myself as well as others.  Quality over quantity.  That doesn’t mean I’m utterly inaccessible. Approach me before we interact IC in an Ask, and let me know who your character is, and what you want to do.  We will interact a few times and I’ll figure out if I think we’re gonna jive together successfully.  If we don’t, it is NOTHING PERSONAL <3.  I will be particularly selective about OC’s.  I love OC’s: so show me that you’ve worked hard in advance to develop your character, and we will do great.
  • I WILL do crossovers.  
  • This blog does NOT ship Thorki.  It also does not actively bash Thorki or any other consensual adult romantic relationship.  But please do not bring a Thor muse here expecting romantic or sexual interaction. My mainverse Thor is hammerstothesky.  
  • Anonymous hate is deleted because it is the product of cowardly provocateurs who are starved for attention. Save yourself the trouble; I won’t be granting you time in the limelight.  If you have a complaint with me, bring it to me in private and using your own identity.  
  • Predetermined relationships DO NOT EXIST with this muse, beyond those established by and for canonical characters in the MCU franchise.  DO NOT come to my Loki muse assuming that you share a backstory with him. Talk to me first. 
  • I do NOT rp with REAL people. This is not negotiable. Please only approach me with a fictional muse.  
  • This character is canonically a VILLIAN.  He is a DIFFICULT, DAMAGED personality.  This means that he will NOT be nice to everyone; in the contrary, he is capable of astounding cruelty.  I will not make my muse gentler for yours.  If something about your muse genuinely strikes a positive chord with him, excellent. Otherwise, do not expect “woobified” Loki.  On the same note, if you are disrespectful to this character, you should expect tremendously negative backlash.  Also bear in mind that he is powerful.  Please don’t put me in the awkward position of godmodding by provoking and provoking Loki until he snaps and injures or kills your muse.  Always discuss first. 
  • If your MUSE dislikes Loki, that is perfectly fine; I am fine with hostile muse interactions. However, if YOU the MUN dislike Loki, and bring your muse to my blog specifically to vent your own hatred toward a fictional character, please do not engage. It makes me far too uncomfortable. 
  • Smut is reserved only for persons 18+ with whom I have interacted for a very long time, and even then, do not expect anything past an R rating.
